Plan commission meeting cancelled

The Monday, July 23, Dearborn County Plan Commission meeting has been cancelled, as there are no applications or business items to be reviewed.
At this time, staff anticipates that there will be  meeting  Aug. 27.

Lester Eugene Miles, passed away, Monday July 2, 2018, at home with his family at his side. He was born Aug. 20,1932, to Fleta and Edward Miles in Aurora, Ind.

Geraldine "Gerri" Donham, 76, Whitestown, Ind., died Friday, July 6, 2018.  Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, Harrison, is in charge of arrangements.


Lawrence Damon

Lawrence “Larry” Damon 80, of Milan, formerly of Dillsboro, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Ripley Crossing.

Larry was born Saturday, Jan. 15, 1938, the son of Ervin and Thelma (Richardson) Damon. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 151 and American Legion Post No. 452.  He was a 1954 Dillsboro High School graduate.  Larry worked at Monsanto for 42 years as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed Jeep racing- Gravelrama and spending time with his family. He served in the National Guard.


Matthew Freytag

Matthew John Freytag, 30, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Colerain Township. 

Matthew was born Sunday, Feb. 14, 1988, the son of James Dean and Tabatha (Montooth) Freytag.  Matthew graduated from Milan High School in 2007, and went on to become a landscaper.  He enjoyed music and was interested in cars and setting up stereo equipment in vehicles.  He also enjoyed spending time with his daughters.


Kenneth Lamb

Kenneth Lamb, 80, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018.

He was born March 16, 1938 in Richmond, Ind., son of the late Cecil and Marjorie (Harris) Lamb.

Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the VFW Harrison, American Legion 199, USS The Sullivans Association, DD537, DDG-68. He worked as a Mechanic at Seagrams and Schenley.
