Dock Boggs

Dock Boggs, 78, of Aurora, Ind., passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018.

He was born Jan. 3, 1940, in Cumberland, Ky., son of the late Linville and Fancy (Cornett) Boggs.

Dock was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an excellent mechanic and if he couldn’t fix it, it wasn’t really broken. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a truck driver at Greens Fuel and Supply.

He is survived by his two sons, Everett L. (Alison) Boggs of Rising Sun, Ind., Joseph (Diana) Boggs of Moores Hill, Ind.; sister, Peggy Boggs of Aurora, Ind.; three grandchildren, Betsy (Toby) Fulmer, Jodi (Tim) Rieman, Zachariah (Alexa) Boggs, and 11 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Danielle, Alizibeth, Ayden, Oryin, Katelynn, Zoey, Trista, Noah, Nolan, and Wyld. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linville and Fancy Boggs; his loving wife of almost 60 years, Veda Boggs; son, Mathew Boggs; three brothers, Arlie, Duke, and Buck; two sisters, Lena and Lucrecia, and his grandson, Jacob Boggs.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, Aug, 25, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Greendale. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Ind.
